It runs on several dedicated servers that share the work, so that the failure of one does not stop the service. It is the island for critical production operations, where an interruption has a real cost and the work, quite simply, cannot stop.

THE LIMITS
How far Island L goes.
Island L is the top of the standard range and solves continuity within the cloud. Its servers are dedicated to a single client, and the physical hardware beneath them is provided by the cloud provider. For regulated environments that require exclusively dedicated hardware, owned by Kverno or by the client, and an end-to-end verified boot, the bespoke variant exists. The build method and the recovery test stay identical; what changes is the substrate.
THE TOP OF THE RANGE
Above Island L.
Island L is the largest of the three standard islands. An island can reach it by growing from S or M, without being rebuilt. Above Island L there is only the bespoke variant, reserved for regulated environments with requirements for exclusively dedicated hardware and certification. For most critical operations, Island L is the destination: full working capacity and real continuity.
